Magical Buildings

Since I was a child, I was impressed by the beautiful buildings in Bucharest because they represent for me the epitome of an old and glamorous age which goes back at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the twentieth one.As you probably know, the end of the 19th century is considered to be the most flourishing period in Bucharest's history because now lots of elegant buildings inspired by the French or Italian Renaissance style are built up. At the beginning of the 20th century, Bucharest had experienced a shift (through architectural elements and the French influence in literature and painting - which were common in clubs and cafes) from "shy" to exquisite, earning the nickname of "Little Paris"or "Paris of the East".Here you have a bunch of photos taken while I was walking over its streets, fascinated by the beautiful stories that lie behind these imposing buildings and the images of a faded world. Hope you like them!
